Everything you need to know about Jum.

Jum is a mobile app for organising recurring community sports and social events. It handles RSVP, team formation, expense tracking and settlement in one place, replacing the WhatsApp-group-plus-spreadsheet workflow most communities use today.

Anyone organising or playing in a recurring group activity: sports groups, team captains, event organisers, and the friends who just want to show up and play without doing the admin. It's built for the organiser and the player equally.

No. Jum isn't built around any one sport. It works for football, futsal, basketball, badminton, running groups, and any other recurring community activity that involves RSVPs and shared costs.

A community Admin sets the date, time, venue and a few basics — capacity, whether joining needs approval, when registration closes — and publishes it (or saves it as a draft first). Every member of that community sees it immediately.

If you're already a member of the community, the event appears in your feed and you RSVP with a tap. If you're not a member yet, you can join via an invite link, or discover and join a public community directly in the app.

Tap Going (or Not going) and Jum tracks the headcount live. Once an event reaches capacity, further RSVPs join an automatic waitlist and move up if a spot opens.

Once RSVPs are in, an Admin can auto-assign balanced teams from confirmed attendees, adjust them manually, and publish the roster so everyone can see which side they're on.

Whoever fronts a cost — pitch rental, shuttlecocks, post-game drinks — logs it against the event. An Admin approves it, and it's added to that event's total automatically, ready to be split.

Once expenses are approved, Jum divides the total across the attendees who should be paying (anyone marked as excluded, or already covered, is left out of the split) and shows each person exactly what they owe or are owed. Jum tracks and displays these balances — it doesn't move money itself; participants still settle up directly, then mark it as paid in the app.

Yes — create a community for your group, invite the people already in it, and Jum takes over from there. You don't need to leave your existing group chat behind; Jum just handles the RSVP, teams and money side of things.

No. A community's members and account-holding guests use the app directly, but an Admin can also add a guest who doesn't have (or want) an account — that person's attendance and any costs are tracked against whoever invited them.

Jum is free to use during its current private testing phase. Jum is being built as a commercial product for the long run, so pricing plans are expected in the future — this page will be updated once those are confirmed.

Yes. One Jum account can be part of, or organise, multiple communities — each with its own members, events and ledger, kept separate from one another.
